STUDIO MYLA is a design-focused architectural practice which aims for sensitivity, generosity, urbanity, robustness and joy in each project. We have experience in residential alterations, new houses, multi residential and public domain sectors.
Whether it's a clients dream brief or working with site constraints, statutory requirements, economic challenges, ecological responsibilities or construction complexities, we see our role as creatively balancing the convergence of these various forces in order to achieve beautiful and purposeful architecture fit for the 21st Century. That’s why we approach design from the outside in and the inside out.
By balancing the natural and urban environments, we value good site planning and form-making to best utilise the site and honour its place in the city or landscape. We appreciate clear and articulate internal planning taking into account clients' needs. Furthermore we pay close attention to materiality and detailing to elevate and enhance the everyday use of spaces.
We acknowledge that architecture is the hard work of many hands. Collaboration is key - between client, consultants, councils and the many trades and craftspeople involved. It's also important to have a strong clear design direction and co-ordination response to steer the process and this is what STUDIO MYLA brings to ensure a great architectural outcome.
Get in touch or pop over to our Te Aro studio for a coffee to discuss your upcoming project. We'd love to meet you.
